Volunteers Make A Difference

How to become a volunteer

PupSometimes it's not possible to make a financial contribution to the SPCA, but you can still help the animals by becoming an SPCA Volunteer and donating your time toward one of our Programmes.

For well over a century the Auckland Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has provided help and comfort to animals in need.

At our Animal Village in Mangere, Auckland, over 20,000 animals per year fall into the loving and professional care of our dedicated staff who tend to their injuries, relieve their pain, and rekindle the trust and companionship many have lost through abuse and neglect.

To volunteer, you must be:

  • At least eighteen years old
  • Willing to commit for one year
