SPCA Pet Protection Plan & Pet Legacy Programme

Protecting one of the family

Everyone who has had the pleasure of living with an animal knows full well the love and devotion they bestow on us. That is why, quite naturally, we regard our animals as `one of the family'.

Protection for your family pets ...As with each family member it is not unreasonable that we want to take all reasonable steps to ensure that when they are in need of urgent care we have the funds to provide for them, and it is no different when it comes to protecting our animals.

For this reason the Auckland SPCA has developed an effective and affordable comprehensive Pet Protection Plan designed to cover those situations that are likely to occur from the moment they enter your family till the time of their (or your) departure.

We call it the SPCA Pet Protection Plan, and here’s how it works.

SPCA adopted animals - 14 day cover

From the very day you adopt your animal from the SPCA in Auckland you will automatically be covered for 14 days, absolutely free. This is our guarantee that should your newly acquired pet suffer any medical problem in the first two weeks at home with you, the SPCA will pay veterinary fees up to $50.00 (this excludes accidents).

Exclusive pet legacy plan

Automatically included in the Pet Protection Plan is provision for the inevitable, either the death of your pet or even your own death or illness. That's why this protection programme is so totally comprehensive, providing as it does that peace of mind that is so important should you predecease your companion animal knowing that they will be cared for after you have gone.

Annual protection plan

When you subscribe to our annual protection plan, and retain it on an annual basis, your treasured pet will be fully covered for those unforeseen accidents, those annual costs that have to be met, and even in the finality of death. A simple system of refunds against these expenses is detailed in the chart below:
