Donate your Tax Rebate

Many people choose to donate their tax rebate to us. It’s easy to do and we’re always very grateful to receive donations in this way.
To claim a tax rebate, you need to fill in an IR526 form, which you can print from the IRD website or phone the IRD on 0800 257 733 to request one. Our donee listing at IRD is under S P C A AUCKLAND INC (please note the space between the letters).

How do I transfer my tax rebate to the SPCA Auckland?

  1. Fill in the IR526 form. In BOX 7 of this form, enter the SPCA Auckland’s IRD number: 10-787-181.
  2. Under Name of person receiving the tax credit’, write ‘SPCA Auckland’.
  3. In BOX 8, choose an amount to transfer (can be all or part of the rebate).
  4. Enter the year.
  5. Staple your receipts to the back of the form.
  6. Send your completed IR526 form with receipts to the Inland Revenue Dept.

The rebate will be transferred to the SPCA Auckland’s IRD number and then paid out to the SPCA Auckland’s bank account, helping us to do more for animals in the Auckland region.

We can provide you with a tax receipt for the rebate you transfer to the SPCA Auckland so you can claim a further rebate on this amount next year.

Please download this form and return to us, or email us, or phone 09 256 7300 and tell us your name, IRD number, address, and the amount transferred.
