“Polly” is an awesome girl. She is very intelligent, eager to please and keen to learn so with the right amount of praise and encouragement, she will be a breeze to train. She is very fun-filled but at the same time, she is quite happy to just chill out at your feet.
She absolutely adores being around people so will need to go to a home where there is someone at home during the day. She dislikes being left alone for a long time and although she is not destructive, she will try her hardest to get out of where ever she is so that she can get to people.

We have managed this by having her in a crate in one of the offices during the day. She gets lots of walks and will quite happily get back into her crate without even being told. She feels the crate is her safe haven. She is so quiet in there that nine times out of ten you won’t even know she is in there.

She would be great around kids that are of the size to be able to play with her without being knocked over as she is very much a puppy when she plays. She responds well to commands given by her handler and she is great with other dogs.

She has met a cat since she has been at the SPCA and she showed a fair amount of interest which is to be expected. She wasn’t quite sure what to make of it to begin with, so with an experienced person, she could integrate into a household with a confident cat quite nicely. A cat that will run from her would not be suitable for her as it is a dogs duty to chase something that runs.

She is a very affectionate girl and once she understands the rules and structure of the household she will make a fantastic addition to your clan as long as you are willing to make her part of your family.

I am a medium sized dog
