Inspector

SPCA Auckland has a proud history of helping animals in need. Every day of the year our Inspectorate team are investigating animal welfare complaints, enforcing the Animal Welfare Act, prosecuting offenders, responding to emergency welfare cases and providing community education.
We are looking for an experienced inspector of animal welfare complaints to be a dedicated member of the SPCA Auckland Inspectorate Team.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate extensive knowledge of the Animal Welfare Act, have practical experience with animals, and:
· Have the qualifications and experience required to hold a warrant under the Animal Welfare Act.
· Be a self motivated team player, who is enthusiastic and passionate about animal welfare and enforcement.
· Have excellent communication skills and the physical abilities to carry out the role effectively.
· Have a flexible approach to the hours of work, and be able to prioritise effectively and manage workloads.
· Will have a current New Zealand driver’s licence
· Will preferable hold a tertiary level qualification
Hospital Receptionist
Permanent Part Time (alternate weekends)
15 hours per week
SPCA Auckland is seeking the services of an experienced Customer Receptionist to work in our busy Animal Hospital Reception
Our Hospital Receptionists are the first point of contact with our customers and incoming animals and it critical that we offer a professional, positive and committed service and that SPCA Auckland values are positively reflected at all times.
Required skills:
• Exceptional Customer Service skills
• Accurate and effective data entry
• Ability to problem solve and work as a proactive team member
• Professionalism when responding and dealing with customer queries, face to face and over the phone
• Animal handling skills required

Customer Receptionist
Maternity Leave Cover
Full time, 37.5 hours per week- 6 month Fixed Term Contract
SPCA Auckland is seeking the services of an experienced Customer Receptionist to work in our busy Adoption reception area.
Our Customer Receptionists are the first point of contact with our customers, and it critical that we offer a professional, positive and committed service and that SPCA Auckland values are positively reflected at all times.
Required skills:
• Exceptional Customer Service skills
• Ability and reliability to handle money, financial transactions and banking
• Accurate and effective data entry and stock control
• Ability to problem solve and work as a proactive team member
• Professionalism when responding and dealing with customer queries, face to face and over the phone
• Minimal animal handling skills required
You must be able to work weekends and public holidays as the seven day roster requires.
